Erica Mao is an artist originally from Columbia, MD that is currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design and has been a keyholder resident at the Lower East Side Printshop.

By combining layers of silkscreen, woodcut, and hand painted elements she constructs a world that draws on classic americana landscapes and architectural structures. Within these worlds she introduces strange figures and objects that fill the space with a creeping sense of foreboding and an undercurrent of depravity.
